Have you ever been so tired you can’t think? That’s how we’ve felt lately. I just turned in my licensure exams, which took me 18 hours to complete (but they went really well… thanks for praying!), and Riva has been working non-stop. We’ve had so much “life stuff” to do that we feel like we haven’t been able to raise support like we want to. Thankfully, the Lord provided people to do that for us.
Westminster Presbyterian church threw a Christmas Extravaganza on Friday, and determined that all the proceeds would go to support us! The men served an incredible dinner in their tuxes, while the women laughed and dined together. Riva’s mother gave a short Christmas devotional, and I’m told it was incredible. Unfortunately, we were unable to be there because of a prior commitment, but that didn’t stop our church. Some of the members of the missions committee presented our ministry for us, and many people were moved to give over and above the price of a ticket.
It’s cool to see how when God wants you to do something, he’ll make a way, with or without you. Thanks Westminster for showing us God’s love in a real and tangible way! That’s what the body of Christ is for, and we’re so thankful to be a part of your congregation!
