Often thwarted plans remind us that God is moving and Satan is jealous! That may sound weird to some of you, but the Bible tells us that there are unseen realities at play behind our visible experiences. And while Satan’s attacks assure us that God is at work here, we covet your prayers that we might be able to trust him in the midst of the struggles. Here’s what’s up:
1. Our ministry building (CBI) was robbed on Monday evening and somewhere between $14,000-$16,000 was stolen. Please pray as we work with police and figure out what to do from here, and that God would provide funds to replace those that have been lost in this incident.
2. A Japanese partner in Tokyo has a 14 year old son who fell breaking two vertebrae and injuring his spinal cord. Right now he cannot move his hands or feet and doctors say he might not ever recover. Please pray for peace for their family and for complete healing for the boy.
3. Many teammates in Japan have felt a particular spiritual darkness recently and have suffered spiritually (not being able to sleep, read their bibles, or pray) and emotionally (depression, anger, etc.). Please pray that God would give his peace to these friends, protect their children, and allow his gospel to continue to reach the Japanese despite these setbacks.
We will be gathering as a team Sunday night (Sunday morning in the States) to pray specifically about these things. Would you join us in prayer during that time? I am so glad we serve a God who loves us, provides us with strength to fight, protection, and peace (Psalm 59). We’re also incredibly thankful for partners like you!
