What We’re Doing

GYFM has changed it’s name to Next!!

Over the past decade, Next has developed into an international team of cross-cultural missionaries called to serve the Church; an extensive network of pastors, teachers, families, churches, and advocates for the next generation; and a growing, worldwide movement centered on engaging young people for the sake of the gospel.

Next is a ministry of Mission to the World (MTW) which exists to “serve the global church in reaching the next generation.”  Our three strategic areas of ministry include:

GYFMWe serve locally in Nagoya, Japan by partnering with All Nations Fellowship in reaching the youth of Japan. At our Nagakute campus, we are involved in ministry to young families and their children. We also have the opportunity to partner with the International Christian Academy of Nagoya in discipling students through the ups and downs of adolescence. At our Downtown campus, we utilize the Heart & Soul Cafe, a safe place in the heart of the city where young people can come to learn English, interact with Christians, and hear the gospel.

We also seek to equip global church leaders by teaching youth ministry courses and mentoring students at Christ Bible Seminary. We hope to encourage not only Japanese leaders, but global church leaders to serve as a catalyst for next generation ministry in their churches and communities all over Asia! Through our ministry to missionary kids we provide retreats, conferences, and mission trips for students across Asia and the Pacific.  Our goal is to disciple these students through the unique challenges of growing up overseas, take hold of the unique opportunities for ministry that come along with this experience, and support and resource their parents and team leaders.
